Based at: Stoke Newington Location, with some flexibility to go to Camden as well

Reports to: Head of Operations

Hours: 4-5 days per week. Contract duration is 3-9 months (depending on type of placement).

Salary: This is a voluntary position. Travel expenses will be reimbursed.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supporting the bakers in the kitchen, helping make baked goods for our cafe & external orders
  • Assisting our Head Baker Trainer & Employability Tutor during teaching sessions on our Employability Course
  • Supporting our Baristas in the cafe, learning to make excellent coffee and beautiful food
  • Helping to build a positive atmosphere for our women to work in
  • Being a role model for the women we support
  • Attending events, market stalls or other activities that Luminary are involved in
  • Supporting the office with back end administrative tasks
  • Fulfilling any appropriate roles the Bakery Manager assigns

  • Ability and desire to learn new skills
  • Flexible to a changing work schedule
  • Able to follow instructions and work from recipes unsupervised
  • Copes well in fast-pace and changing environment
  • Motivated & hardworking
